In Disselfontein, a farm near to Hopetown and Douglas in Northern Cape, South Africa, the farmer irrigate directly from the Orange River.
Taking advantage of DEGER´s years of experience in remote locations, the Disselfontein project is a 188 kWp pilot project, designed to supply power to a farm in an area where the grid can be expensive and unreliable. Based on the success of the project an expansion is planned, which will provide renewable energy to the owner´s adjacent farm as well.
The plant consists of 15 single axis S100 DR CF tracking systems, each fitted with 38 Jinko, 330w 72 cell modules.
Each row of three trackers has been connected to a separate inverter. The plant is a grid-tied integrated solution.
