In the Australian outback, seven DEGERtracker D60H units with an installed capacity of 40 kWh are operating a water pump to ensure the drinking water supply with this off-grid installation in the city of Broome. The dual-axis tracking systems from DEGER have replaced the outdated diesel generator installation and provide green energy to supply vital water to the community.
With the patented MLD technology the dual-axis DEGERtrackers generates approximately 45% higher yield compared to fixed tilt systems. The installation produces enough energy that surplus energy is stored in batteries, so that there is sufficient energy to operate the pump through the night.
Matching the requirements of a 22 kW pump that transports the water from the ground to the earth’s surface, tracking systems from DEGER provides the local population with drinking water in an unforgiving environment. This important and sustainable installation was realized with our installation partner, Balance Utility Solutions to support the growing population Broome which has been struggling for years with water scarcity, especially in the summer months.
