All DEGER tracking systems require a wind monitor to protect against storm damage. It moves the module surface of the systems to horizontal position, when a preset wind speed is reached. The wind monitor is typically mounted on a mast, so that it can sense the actual wind speed at the appropriate height.
The pendulum holder gives you the possibility to fasten the wind monitor directly to the module surface of the tracking system. Due to the pivot mounted pendulum with a counterweight fastened on the nodal bar, the nodal bar will always rotate to vertical position at any position of the DEGER system. This makes sure that the anemometer of the wind monitor is always optimally exposed to the wind and will never be in the slipstream of the DEGER system.
